Toris spent most of his time in the library, and today was no exception. He flipped through his textbook, sitting in a corner of the library amidst various textbooks and a few language books he'd finished with--he'd never had access to such things before, but now that he'd found himself with access to them, it had become a bit of a habit to pick up a few new languages each time he went to the library. Too many at once, though, made his head hurt, so he only read a couple a week.
Absorbed in his studying, the cursing and then slamming book startled him, and his own book slipped from the table, landing rather loudly on the ground.
"A-ah, sorry," he replied, automatically speaking German, as it was the last language he'd heard.
Kyouya was startled to find that there was someone else in the library. He waved off their apology, there was no need to apologize when he slammed a book first. Adjusting his glasses, he studied the other student. He switched to English, assuming that the other student would only speak the two languages. "I wasn't aware that there would be someone else here that spoke German."
Toris dipped his head in apology even so, used to apologizing for things like this to the point he didn't think about it. "Oh, it's my mutation--I can speak any language I hear or read."
He was speaking English now, the same as the other boy; it was only when he noticed the switch that he realized he had been speaking German before. He scooped his book off the floor.
"I don't think I've seen you around here before. Are you one of the new students?" He wasn't asking to serve any purpose other than personal curiosity...The right connections could be a valuable resource.
Though his first impression of the other boy...was mouse.
The pink-haired crossdresser entered the library; not because she wanted to read, but because she wanted to get a good look of the Institute. Well, compared to her old school, it was a lot bigger... and it wasn't filled with rose crests.
While idly promenading the room, she noticed a black-haired boy, looking visibly irritated and... probably cursing in another language. So, being the noble prince that she was, she approached him from behind, reaching out to place a hand on his shoulder reassuringly. "Hey, are you alright?"
Feeling the hand on his shoulder, he automatically shrugged out from under it. Not desiring to be touched by random people, only a few individuals had that right. Turning, he sent a glare at the other person. "Perfectly fine."
Kaoru once again found himself in the library. He was returning a few books and taking out a few more when he heard a few yells in another language in a voice that sounded oddly familiar. He turned a corner and called out in a sing-song voice, "Mommy~"
Kaoru takes a seat across from him and props his head up on his hand. Obviously something was wrong and usually he wouldn't ask, but why not? "What's wrong?"
Sasori had been exploring the grounds, looking for places that would suit his desire for quiet spaces without many people; the library had thus far seemed to meet his needs rather well.
He'd just found an interesting art history book and was wandering back towards the entrance, engrossed in the tome's contents, when he'd heard some rather loud cursing from the table he'd been passing by.
He snapped the book in his hands shut in mild irritation, and looked at the source of the (presumably) vulgar language. "Really, this is a library. Speaking so loudly is terribly rude."
Kyouya gave a sneer to the redhead. "Oh really, and what makes you think that I would care about what you would say." He had been here since classes had let out, the last thing he wanted to hear was some new kid saying he was speaking too loudly.
Zexion frowned, his train of thought broken. He put his hand on his book to hold his page and turned to find who was making such a ruckus in the library of all places. Perhaps he should have gone to the cafeteria to read--less books, but at least it was quiet.
He felt a headache slowly rising to the surface. "May I suggest you go to your room then." Why was it people only ever seemed to talk to you when you have offended them for some reason.
Well if you're in the library, the only reason to talk--in Zexion's opinion--is if someone has offended you. Or took the last copy of a book you needed. But that's mainly the same thing to him.
"My roommate is there." He sighed, "Is there something you're looking for? Or are you simply being loud for the sake of being loud?"
He removed his glasses, rubbing his eyes for a moment. "As though it were any of your business. I need a decent book on telepathy, you would think there would be one in a mutant school."

"Well, sorry." Utena shrugged. "You just seemed a little... out of it."

"I am never out of it. Furthermore you should ask before you lay your hands on someone you do not know or who has not initiated the contact."

He rubbed his forehead slightly, feeling the beginnings of a headache. "What do you want Kaoru?" Couldn't Kaoru have went to bug Daddy?
