Zexion frowned, his train of thought broken. He put his hand on his book to hold his page and turned to find who was making such a ruckus in the library of all places. Perhaps he should have gone to the cafeteria to read--less books, but at least it was quiet.
He felt a headache slowly rising to the surface. "May I suggest you go to your room then." Why was it people only ever seemed to talk to you when you have offended them for some reason.
Well if you're in the library, the only reason to talk--in Zexion's opinion--is if someone has offended you. Or took the last copy of a book you needed. But that's mainly the same thing to him.
"My roommate is there." He sighed, "Is there something you're looking for? Or are you simply being loud for the sake of being loud?"
He removed his glasses, rubbing his eyes for a moment. "As though it were any of your business. I need a decent book on telepathy, you would think there would be one in a mutant school."
The short boy closed his book, leaving his index finger to mark the spot as he tucked the book under his arm. "They might be checked out at the moment. However, I could show you the section they would be in." His visible eye studied the other boy for a moment, was he a telepath or like Zexion? Impossible to tell from mere observation. "Are you in Mrs Lockhart's class or Ms Frost's?"
Kyouya motioned to the stacks of books on the table. "I know where they are, I've gone though just about all of them, hence my frustration." He looked up at the other student "Miss Lockharts. Why do you ask?"
"Something more specific than the general books hold, then?" Zexion glanced over the books, having not bothered to read the titles before. It seemed like the boy had up-ended practically the whole section. How interesting. "Ah, no reason. I thought perhaps it was an assignment." Or he was trying to find your skill level, but the lie he gave was still plausible.
"Oh? What is your particular mutation? Perhaps I could help?" When was Zexion not up to something? Like weeding out useful mutants and finding ways to make them useful to himself, otherwise known as 'befriending' people in Zexion's book. This boy at least was mildly intelligent, and another telepathic-sort of power, which while he detested them, were quite useful when not turned on you.
Kyouya watched the blue haired mutant, wondering if he could trust him. He sighed softly, knowing that the books weren't getting him anywhere. "Memory Manipulation. The only things I can find on it are about what happens when it goes wrong, but nothing on how to keep it from backfiring.
"What is your power?" He could be a useful ally to have, given the right abilities.
Another one who dealt with memories. Ah this could be interesting. He hadn't dealt with Naminé extremely closely, but he knew of her power and what they had used it for at times. "Ah, a colleague of mine has a similar power... How has yours backfired before?"
To get information, he needed to give information. It wasn't always as simple, but giving people a taste and luring them in with half-truths worked better than outright lies. "I create sensory illusions," He offered with a false smile, "Would you like a demonstration?"
Kyouya shook his head slightly "It hasn't yet, I'm just trying to keep it from doing that." Words could not describe how much he didn't want to loose control.
He looked over his glasses at the other "I'll pass, thank you." Sensory illusions did not sound like something that he would be interested in experiencing first hand.
Precautionary measures meant he was worried it would happen. "Usually if your power is mentally-based, controlling your mind is the best way to control your power."
Zexion continued to smile, "If you're sure." Oh this one would be fun, wouldn't he?
"I had figured that much out on my own, there has to be another way though." Being brought up the way he had been, you were always taught control. That didn't help when he used them however. The last thing he wanted was to hurt someone that he actually cared about.
"I'm sure. I'm not too fond of illusions, at least when they are used on me." The last thing he needed was to have someone messing with his head that way.
Ah, this would be fun. He was an interesting mix of things, for a puppet. "Do yours display themselves through an inbetween medium, or is it all controlled in your mind?"
Zexion shrugged, "They can be useful or beautiful, or simply distracting I suppose."
Kyouya shook his head slightly. "I'm not entirely sure. I've only ever fully used my abilities once. However, I was too shaken by the occurrence to take accurate notes of what it was like." He didn't regret it, not in the least. It was just like he automatically knew what to do.
"Quiet please, some of us are trying to read."

He watched the other with a blank expression. He knew that the other boy was up to something, he just wasn't sure what. "Far from it."
