Ian is hard at work designing a lego dungeon to go adventuring in. He takes it very seriously. He told me it was going to be a very complex dungeon, so he had to start on it as soon as he got home from school. The kids had, near as I can figure, the best day ever yesterday. It started with pancakes, then their friend's birthday party and movie, and home for a rousing game of Lego Dungeons and Dragons.

Sabrina:Sabrina and I were watching Cosmos. Only yesterday she read a little bit of an Isaac Asimov story from “I, Robot”. That is, she read one page and I read the rest. Sabrina is doing a report on jellyfish, so we are reading about them. The adult stage is called the medusa. (I had previously thought that was a type of or subset of jellyfish). Ian is currently playing "Lego Star Wars". A significant portion of his world these past couple of weeks is composed of Star Wars knowledge. He sometimes refers to "our doodeetoo", which means, of course, "R2D2". Sabrina was in her princess pajamas in the spare room/office at the desk Karen used when she was a little girl in New Jersey with a lava lamp my dad gave us and a tiny cd player and my old computer speakers playing “the Monkees Greatest Hits". Sabrina made a lego dog and actualy put organs inside it. She opened it up and showed me the hollow space inside where she put a heart, lungs, stomach, and intestines. What, no spleen? No, I was very proud.
