this exists? who knew?

Once again, I am back from hiatus, though this most recent one has been noticeably shorter.  In any case, if I'm ever posting in here from now until probably the rest of forever, I am putting off homework, most likely either English or physics.  Classes of doom.

I don't know how to explicate, which stems from my inability to read short stories.  This is mostly a problem because I just found out today that the story I am planning on explicating is being presented on Tuesday, not Thursday like I'd thought.  Though thinking about it, that's probably for the best because it means that I'm not explicating, doing a French paper, and studying for a math test on vectors (which relate to physics and are therefore full of doom) all in one night.

It seemed like Mathletes sucked on Saturday, but apparently all of the normal teams (algebra, geometry, etc.) qualified for state except for us juniors (algebra 2).  Massive fail.  I think I'm going to ask Mrs. Casey if I can be put on the senior team (it's pre-calc) because there's no way that six of them will actually go, and I love going to state (that is, I love walking around college campuses unsupervised and getting to see my friends from other schools who are on Mathletes), even if I'd only get like a third of the problems right.  There is a tiny chance that our school's entire team qualified, but it's looking unlikely.

On another extracurricular note, hopefully we'll find out the state team for Congress this week.  I think I have a good idea of who they'll be asking, but there are a few wild cards.  As of a couple of months ago, there was a slight chance that I'd be asked to be in uppers (top 4), but my speaking average has been sucking lately, meaning that's basically out of the question.  It doesn't matter so much to me except that it'd be a nice push toward possible captainship, and I'd get to say on college apps that I was on the "state championship team" this year instead of the "state invitational team" again.

I could start ranting about college stuff now, but I'll spare you.  And by you, I have no idea who I mean because my guess is that the chance of anyone reading this is like zero to none.  Instead, I'll try to go read more of my book for English and perhaps even sleep eventually.

congress, english, college, physics, mathletes
