Got on FFXI last night and joined a Linkshell xp party synced @ 10, in Ghelsba Outpost. I changed jobs to Scholar, and went to join them. Beabiddy was on Ranger, Kingsofcash was on Black Mage (and later Dragoon), and Jicaud was Beastmaster. Well, for the first wipe, it was me getting aggro. ._. I suddenly noticed my HP going down REALLY fast, and I couldn't figure out why until I was FDAU. And I panned the camera around to see that, oh, it wasn't caused by the mob I was engaging.

It was just annoying because the area we were in takes so long to hike to.

For your SCH, I would say you can just solo straight to 30. (I mean, you could leave your flag up while you do that, if you really want to party.) But you could easily get those 10 levels, with the help of emp band and FoV bonuses, by just smashing EP mobs the whole way. FoV in Buburimu can carry you at least to 28 (solo), and Valkurm at least until 30 (solo). You know, in case you get sick of people.

Yeah, but the first time, after you died and Vatgit de-aggroed, Beabiddy engaged. I didn't see what she was doing, just saw her HP going down, so when I cured her (and she soon died), I was next. The second time, even after I said "Hey let's just leave those few alone..." Kings ran in and want RAR! and we wiped again. Maybe I'm being overly fussy, but both wipes could have been avoided. (And neither was your fault.)

I may just solo all the way to 37, but I'm just so tired of soloing from doing BLM... I'll probably have my flag up while soloing and take what I get.
