To say the truth...
...I'm kinda conflicted, now that the initial shock has worn off (no, seriously, I was in a train when these news came up... and I was absolutely convinced somebody's making some extremely idiotic jokes... I just couldn't believe what I was hearing.). I'd feel like a total hypocrite crying/making a martyr of myself/acting like a poor abandoned citizen now, after all those times I criticised (some of... or even most of) these people/their decisions/made fun of them... or sometimes even stated I outright hate them, heh. And so on. It won't touch me, maybe it'll even bring something positive to Polish/international politics... On the other hand - well, it's a tragedy. Rather a big one. People died. And I don't care - 'important' or not, my compatriotes or not... just people. Almost 100 of them. I feel sorry for their families and friends. Hell, I even managed - and I hadn't thought such a thing is even possible a few days ago - to feel sorry for Jarosław Kaczyński - I don't know, what I'd do if I lost any of my sibilings.
Interstinly enough, what made me realize I'm actually sad as well, was a small occurance on my way home: an old-ish lady (from The Netherlands, I think) I met at the tram simply hugged me after I told her that today the tram rides are free because of what happend yesterday - to take people to the mourning places and such (I'd been in Cracow at the time - what a perfect date I chose for my first anime convention in a few years, go me. Actually, it was a pretty interesting experience. And I must admit, I had fun (more of the 'meeting new-old friends/talking about Hetalia. and politics. and... stuff/attending a few panels' kind of fun... but still. ♥ you, girls,). Yeah, I suck at being Polish.).
I don't know... I feel weird. And I'm starting to strongly suspect, that Poland is actually cursed. Seriously, wtf is this shit...? Can we get a little rest? xD
ETA: I just made a terrible mistake and visited one of web portals, Onet. And now I'm angry, in addition to all the above. At my compatriots. Great: blame Russia, create some idiotic conspiracy theories... Just fuck you.
ETA2: All those Hetalia drawings (just check dA) are pretty unnerving, too. Most of them, anyways.
