Happy World Book and Copyright Day, folks.

So... Tell me, what's your favourite book? An author? A quote? What are you reading at the moment? I'm in serious need of recommendations ;) And just simply curious.

Mine? Well, I can't say I have one book I'd call my favourite - the one I've read the most times is... 'Alla vi barn i Bullerbyn'/'All About the Bullerby Children' by Astrid Lindgren - seriosly, I loved it as a kid, I love it now; it's amazing, and witty, and funny, and warm... Read it ;) Other than that...? Well, I've read 'The Lord of the Rings' enough times to know its parts by heart. And quote it. Even though I last read it a good 10 years ago (I need to re-read it one of these days). Same with 'Interview with the Vampire' - though it's one of this rare cases when I actually love a movie version even more than a book. I simply adore things written by Terry Pratchett (especially the books about The City Watch... and 'The Truth'... and 'Monstrous Regiment'), Neil Gaiman (his graphic novels are the best; but the short stories - and 'American Gods', and 'The Graveyard Book'... - are awesome, too) - guess what, 'Good Omens' is one of my favourite books ever :D Oscar Wilde, Edgar Allan Poe, Andrzej Sapkowski, Robert McLiam Wilson, Arthur Conan Doyle, Tove Jansson, lately I re-discovered Bulhakov... And some individual books, like 'Wonder Boys' by Michael Chabon, 'The Hours' by Michael Cunningham, 'The Mists of Avalon' by Marion Zimmer-Bradley, 'Tortilla Flat' by John Steinbeck... - I want to read more stuff by this authors, I just didn't have an occasion yet. Off the top of my head ;p

*goes back to her 'Fanny Hill' :D*
