The younger of my spawn is turning 5 years old.
He was so excited this morning about his special breakfast that in betwene bites he was saying that "this is the best birthday ever." (Even though he was only 2 hrs into it!) What was this special breakfast you ask? Cocoa Rice Chex cereal.
We then proceeded to decorate the house. "Owange and Blue Pwease!"
Followed by reading a library book with mama.
Then, cause me and the husband wanted to relax a bit, we let him pick a computer game to play. Its called samorost and it is really fun, he has played it online before. It only has half the game though. When I told him that the second part has to be bought he begged to buy it. Love teachable moment like this and in the end, he did indeed buy the computer game. *snicker*
We watched a bit of Avatar the Last airbendar.
We made home made strawberry iced cream from the mounds of straw berries we picked at the farm yesterday.
We got ants in the mail for Micah's ant farm that he got back for his birthday. *rolls eyes*
We made dinner together... he picked beef ribs, artichokes and sweet potato fries.
Family came over and we opened presents (can we say legos!!!) and ate our ice cream (and repeated the same mantra that he was chanting this morning in betwene bites while eating his dessert).
It was a great day.
