New York City! my new home!
Well - its been a while, but I have been busy with good reason, after almost 9 months of on and off consulting, and having a tough year, I finally got hired to run communications planning at a NYC agency. I already leased my place on the first of December, and got my keys the 9th, and now in Miami (I was in NYC last week) picking what I am packing, and taking as its a one bedroom apartment in Manhattan (right in mid-town) so its the organization to see what would fit, what would go where, and what to leave in storage. Grueling but fun. I feel like a New Yorker already, got my NYTimes delivery set up, and my TimeOut NY, so getting organized. I start Jan 3rd.
In other news, for those that follow, and you know that I have been for almost 3 years (i guess two and change) I was dating Sole, one of the most serious relationships I have had in my life, but at the same time, one of the most difficult relationships, with many ups and downs, nasty break ups, and getting worn down, going back, and so last month, we had a last trip together, to see what would happen, we traveled through central Florida, but it just did not work out.
We ended in good terms, as good as they can be I guess, but its final, we both decided that the move to NY is also the best time to part ways as I have been very busy and she with Christmas in Ecuador, so its been bearable, and yes I do miss her nagging, but I guess now I get to look forward to spending time walking the streets of NYC and just being me.
I read the first two Girl with a Dragon Tatoo books, they are awsome, and now reading the third one (not dating also gives me time to read) and so I am enjoying reading...being mellow.
Well that is my update - open invite to my friends to visit NYC...and I will update more soon, I promise.
