It is going to be pretty damn cold here in CLT too this weekend. I already put freeze boxes on the water spigots, flushed the sprinkler system and drained all the hoses.

The spigot covers are like $3 at HD or Lowes and save you the cost of replacing busted spigots or pipes.
To drain the hose, just leave one end on the ground and hte other propped up in the air, gravity will do the rest.
For the sprinkler flush you need an aircompressor, or have to pay someone to do it. (Sean has a compressor I am sure) This is the most work, but will save you the most if you have a sprinkler system. You only need to do this if the weather is going to be below freezing for more than 2 nights in a row.

I went and bought it all today. :) Well just the milk for my coffee. And plenty of healthy snacks for Jazz since we'll likely be stuck inside all weekend. The cold doesn't bother me, the 45-65mph wind gusts will blow her right out of the front yard. :D

The hoses are in boxes, so do I really need to drain them?
And thank goodness we don't have a sprinkler system so I don't need to worry about that.
