Brain-dead...

May 05, 2009 20:13

You remember be posting that I was in the process of getting a new job, right?

Ok.

Well, today was the first day of training.

Yes, yes... I passed all of the preliminary testing (drug-test, finger-prints, and health screen).  There really wasn't any doubt that I would fail them.  So, phase II began today.

Training began at 9 a.m. in Bakers and it ended at 5:30 p.m.  Yeah, that's a long time.  And we did so many things, it isn't even funny.

Here is a list of the things which were covered today in training:

1) Personnel Paperwork
2) Employee Ethics
3) Time Clock Procedures
4) Policies & Procedures
5) Safety & Security
6) Professionalism
7) Sexual Harassment
8) Drug & Alcohol Program
9) Dependant Adult Abuse
10) Patient Confidentiality
11) Protecting your Back (from all the lifting which is required)
12) 5 tests

And that's just the first day.  There are still four more days of training.  Tomorrow I have to go fromt their Mt. Vernon location in the Northeast side of town, to their Gosdford location in the Southwest side of town.  Luckily, since its virtually next to the highway, it won't be that long of a drive.

By the time the day was over, my mind was drained and even my body was exhausted.  Hell, we're eating hotdogs right now because I'm to tired and lazy to cook (lol)  Hopefully, tomorrow we should be making lasagna... if the girls finally decide on a recipe.

career, updates
