YES. That makes so much sense. And the bit about Amy's saying not only "goodbye" but also "don't come after me" makes sense, too--that's her following River's advice not to let him see her grow old.

With the others, he can even think for himself that they are still alive somewhere in the past, but with the Ponds I think the fact that he saw their graves made it so much worse because it killed all his hope. Ever. He will never ever see them again. *sniff*

Seriously, though, that perspective does tie in perfectly, even with previous (new Who) Doctors. Like Ten's comment in "School Reunion." Poor the Doctor, too. *sob*

It's in Brazilian Portuguese and it may have some vices but bilingual Doctor Who is even more awesome.
