Impressions for Cindy and Tiffany Aching?

Cesare rather likes Cindy. :) Their relationship is friendly and casual and he likes it that way, although he also does not object to finding out more bits and pieces about her. He is more interested in her than in many other people because he can tell she's keeping something a secret and that piques his curiosity. All the more incentive to keep talking to her ( ... )

Way older than he ever expected, you mean. And more than one secret.

Cindy thinks that Cesare is an intelligent teenager. He's obviously of the nobility and well-educated for a man from this time. There's enough confidence in him that indicates that he's been groomed for leadership. Having a title and being a high-ranking member of the clergy would probably mean a lot more in the past and if Cindy ever looks up the history of his time, she'd realise that he's one of those Borgias. In the meantime, she is okay with a casual friendship. Also, there's the post-kiss realisation that he might be a bit of a player too ( ... )

damn this is hard. He doesn't have a list so much as a set of criteria for people to fit, at least mostly. I'm going to do that instead because I've been trying and failing at this all day. xD ( ... )

Cindy would be flattered by all of the above. Except she's not even within two hundred years of Cesares's age and she saves the shankings for when she's ready to blow her own cover or if she really doesn't like the person.

They have! Briefly because Brianna is Tiffany's roommate and they met that time when Cindy walked Brianna back to ZEX's ship. They don't trust each other at all. Tiffany is brown-haired and ordinary looking--so she has negative impressions of pretty blonds. Cindy knows that dealing with witches is a tricky business and this isn't even a witch on her side. All this without even talking to each other. If I ever self-cest . . . who knows?

What would Cesare think if he ever found out one of Cindy's secrets?

He'll figure out the Cinderella thing eventually--he's already toying with the idea that was brought up before, that everyone is fictional, at least to those from other worlds. Given that (which was why he was asking about the My Little Pony toys) and what he knows about her (name, father remarried, poor relationship with stepmother and stepsiblings, connection with shoes, husband in politics), he'll make the connection at least tentatively once the story is brought up to him. He won't mention it, though. She is allowed to have her secrets and the interesting part about this to him would be that it's true, not the details behind it. He might eventually try to talk to her about it or get a clearer picture about it, but for a while at least he would be perfectly content to pretend to ignore it ( ... )

It's history--it doesn't really bother her. She wouldn't be sure about the warlording bit though--invading and conquering pings her in a bad way. And boy those Borgias knew how to stir things up. Since he's younger in Camp, she'd hope that he's not as scheming as his adult self. Besides, it's not like she doesn't hang out with shady people in canon and in Camp. She gets along best with a man-eating (reformed) wolf in canon--it's the not-so-nice person in her relating to other not-so-nice people--so Cesare is not so bad.

Pimp Cesare's/Nowaki's canon?

Junjou Romantica

Basically it's three interconnected stories about three m/m couples, one of which is Hiro and Nowaki. :)

If Hiro and Nowaki are the pretty-much-married, extreme tsun/dere pair, then the other two couples are... well, even more special, tbh. WHY ARE THE VANILLA ONES IN CAMP? This chart kind of sums it up! As you can see, that 24 v. 28 age difference between Hiro and Nowaki is nothing in comparison to those other two (18 and 35 sob!). It's pretty mindless, which was part of the initial draw for me, actually! It's very easy to get into and you can pick up and read the individual story lines on their own without any problem (the chapters are labeled by which couple is getting the attention: Romatica, Egoist, or Terrorist). As a warning, the series is very NSFW, with... well, I'm pretty sure every chapter eventually involves some man-on-man action. :|a As with many things in this genre, there are parts that toy with the noncon line, but the series itself as very big on the Happy Ending and if you just want to read/watch ( ... )

(Okay, first off, I haven't been this head-over-heels for a canon in quite a while. ♥ I'm SUPER ANAL RETENTIVE about historical fiction and it has to be either Damn Accurate or Amazing Enough That I Can Overlook It. I take this to extremes with Borgia things since tl;dr they're my history forevergirl and strange things keep being done to them sob.)

Cesare

As the title implies, it follows Cesare Borgia. :)b Unusually, however, it focuses on him as a teenager instead of an adult, opening in 1491 when he is still attending university in Pisa and before his father becomes Pope. I... actually like this more because this is a pretty big chunk of time when there's no real anything in the historical record about what he was getting up to. The story itself is clearly dramatized for the purposes of being a good read, but it does a very good job of hitting several important issues and ideas from the time period, and it makes a real effort to be faithful to the era.

Here to the end of the chapter (like five pages, I think?) is a good sample of ( ... )

Cesare is selfish and the people who are the most important to him are also the people he needs the most. In Camp the person he most needs is Rue. He uses him to get feedback on ideas and help for problems both for Camp and for canon and also just as a distraction when he doesn't want to deal with things anymore. After Rue his most important Camp relationship is with Shaun, sob, although that was not supposed to happen. Again, Shaun is very useful! And unintentionally this time Cesare has started depending on him more.

One person Cindy/Tiffany most want in Camp?

They don't want people they know in Camp. Cindy--because most Fables have other vital jobs to do. Tiffany--because it would mean that she couldn't cope and that's a major loss of face for a witch.

But if it wasn't a matter of competency or missing time . . .

Cindy would like someone to update her on what's going on at home. Maybe Bigby since he was wandering around in the Mundy in search of a potential new home for the Fables. Also, she'd need him to back her up for the whole "it's not so much spilling secrets as Camp spilling them for you" thing because there are strict rules about that.

Tiffany would like to see how Granny Weatherwax deals with Camp, just out of curiosity. And she would be looking for a convenient haystack to duck behind when Granny goes ballistic.

I'm not the only one who wants Miguel in Camp. While Cesare doesn't need Miguel around quite as much as he did at first, GDI it would be helpful. Occasionally I run into situations with him where I'm just like "...but no, never mind, he can't do that because no Miguel orz" So yeah. He would be able to maneuver a lot better if he had his right hand man around and would also just be a lot more at ease. Cesare has built up an incredible amount of trust with Miguel and is missing his talent and companionship.

Why were you attracted to playing Cindy?

She's a spy--who used to be a fairytale princess! Also James Bond with tits! Meaning that sure, they'll put their lives on the line for their country/community, but they will have some lots of fun along the way. She's more committed to her job than any relationship.

Cindy is very fun to play because she can act nice and charming while being a complete hardass while on the job. She can also annoy people intensely--seriously, I need to play that out more.

Why does Nowaki want to be a doctor?

He originally wanted to be a social worker! The underlying goal is a desire to help kids. Because of his upbringing in an orphanage and just his personality in general, he's really sensitive to the fact that there are a lot of children out there who need help and he wants to be able to give it to them. He's studying to be a pediatrician because he feels that that is one way he can really do some good for them.

How do your characters spend a typical day in Camp?
