I meant to do this when Cesare hit 5k, but I didn't feel like it at the time. So 6k Anything Goes meme! I also play Kusama Nowaki, so please let me talk at you about him, too. ♥

Also because this thread is going on atm, Cindy really doesn't need to feel bad about mistletoeing the teenager. :|b Cesare's using the mistletoe as an excuse to kiss the pretty girls. Cindy's a bit, um, older than he's been aiming, but still FAR better than some of the other threads he got stuck in. No complaints, really! He's just trying to come off well in this, since they are on a more friendly level already and it could be taken the wrong way. :|a
And Nowaki still likes Tiffany. :D He enjoys talking to her and is pretty comfortable explaining things to her because she seems so mature. She can handle it! Honestly, he respects her because of how she has been conducting herself and because of her obvious interest in expanding her medical knowledge. She is more than welcome to follow him around the hospital whenever she would like. :)

Cindy thinks that Cesare is an intelligent teenager. He's obviously of the nobility and well-educated for a man from this time. There's enough confidence in him that indicates that he's been groomed for leadership. Having a title and being a high-ranking member of the clergy would probably mean a lot more in the past and if Cindy ever looks up the history of his time, she'd realise that he's one of those Borgias. In the meantime, she is okay with a casual friendship. Also, there's the post-kiss realisation that he might be a bit of a player too.
Tiffany is still a teenager! And she likes having someone around to explain things about the modern world because that's rather like the travelling teachers' from her world. She's glad that there are actually competent adults around. If Nowaki thinks that there are more competent and senior doctors around, she's honestly relieved because the illnesses might be different in different world. Tiffany tries to learn new things no matter how awkward the situation is. Apologies in advance if you see a teenager writing notes out of the corner of your eye during mistletoe season.
Cesare's top ten list of people he is trying to snog?
Reply
1) Female
2) Approximately his age (several years older is preferable to several years younger because sob that hits prepubescent FAST)
3) blonde is preferable but it's really not a big thing
4) He's kind of short. Too much taller than him starts to get weird. :|a
5) spunky is good. he likes people showing spirit.
6) intelligent, open minded--obvious lack of either of these is a big turn off
7) not an obvious threat. it's hard to get too into the kiss if you're worried about poison or shanking.
8) "traditional" femininity isn't needed, but she needs to be comfortable with her sexuality
9) general physical beauty is kind of a big one, but I'm too lazy to really get into what this means for him
10) a proper degree of self-esteem is also important. he's not going to respect someone who doesn't respect themselves.
So have Cindy and Tiffany met in Camp? What do/would they think of each other?
Reply
They have! Briefly because Brianna is Tiffany's roommate and they met that time when Cindy walked Brianna back to ZEX's ship. They don't trust each other at all. Tiffany is brown-haired and ordinary looking--so she has negative impressions of pretty blonds. Cindy knows that dealing with witches is a tricky business and this isn't even a witch on her side. All this without even talking to each other. If I ever self-cest . . . who knows?
What would Cesare think if he ever found out one of Cindy's secrets?
Reply
Her modern job would actually get more of a reaction from him although he would consider it less important. More immediately pressing, perhaps, since it would move her into a different level of dangerous, but less important overall. Either way chances are good that he would not mention it to her even if he found out.
And in exchange, what would Cindy think if she ever did look up Borgia history?

Pimp Cesare's/Nowaki's canon?

Basically it's three interconnected stories about three m/m couples, one of which is Hiro and Nowaki. :)
If Hiro and Nowaki are the pretty-much-married, extreme tsun/dere pair, then the other two couples are... well, even more special, tbh. WHY ARE THE VANILLA ONES IN CAMP? This chart kind of sums it up! As you can see, that 24 v. 28 age difference between Hiro and Nowaki is nothing in comparison to those other two (18 and 35 sob!). It's pretty mindless, which was part of the initial draw for me, actually! It's very easy to get into and you can pick up and read the individual story lines on their own without any problem (the chapters are labeled by which couple is getting the attention: Romatica, Egoist, or Terrorist). As a warning, the series is very NSFW, with... well, I'm pretty sure every chapter eventually involves some man-on-man action. :|a As with many things in this genre, there are parts that toy with the noncon line, but the series itself as very big on the Happy Ending and if you just want to read/watch something that doesn't require thinking or worry about the possibility of a Bad End but does include pretty men doing things to each other and minor romcom drama, I would recommend this. :)b
Scans are here and the anime is here. (No guarantees about the quality of that second link, though, as I really only looked at the manga.)
Here, have three more pictures. And I just want you to know that I put in the extra time to weed out all the sexing screenshots/scans sob

Cesare
As the title implies, it follows Cesare Borgia. :)b Unusually, however, it focuses on him as a teenager instead of an adult, opening in 1491 when he is still attending university in Pisa and before his father becomes Pope. I... actually like this more because this is a pretty big chunk of time when there's no real anything in the historical record about what he was getting up to. The story itself is clearly dramatized for the purposes of being a good read, but it does a very good job of hitting several important issues and ideas from the time period, and it makes a real effort to be faithful to the era.
Here to the end of the chapter (like five pages, I think?) is a good sample of the other two main characters, Miguel (the protector) and Angelo (the puppy). I adore Miguel. I don't even know what to say to pimp this other than that Miguel is magical and amazing and much more nuanced than he appears at first. This is actually true of all of them, even Angelo who is just SO DENSE at the start. (S-seriously, you can just go and skip the first three chapters if they are too Angelo-centric. He gets better after that.)
All the historical setting and such aside, this is basically a story about three boys trying to make sense of the world around them. One of them is caught between high ideals and an upbringing that is teaching him to be absolutely ruthless, one of them has found a purpose in life but is also deeply jaded, and one of them is still very much an innocent and has found himself pushed into an entanglement much bigger than he is.
OH YEAH, pimp or at least explain your two canons to me! I know absolutely nothing about either of them apart from what I've heard the characters say in threads. :)

Discworld: It's about a world that is flat and sits on the backs of four elephants standing on the back of a space turtle--this should give you an idea of what it's like. Everything is a mirror of stuff happening on Earth, so there are books about the post office, about musicals, the Da Vinci Code, Shakespeare, etc. Only in parody form.
The Tiffany Aching series can be summed up as: The Girl Has Too Many Stalkers. Or Not-Harry-Potter-Thank-You-Very-Much.
The Wee Free Men: Tiffany goes up against the Fairy Queen because that bitch snatched her younger brother. She's nine years old. This is when she meets the Nac Mac Feegle--they're basically the Smurfs crossed with the Picts. This means that she has acquired several hundred little blue men in kilts who like to drink and steal sheep as stalkers.
A Hat Full of Sky: Tiffany goes away to learn to be a witch, but she gets possessed by the Hiver--an eldritch entity from the dawn of time--and almost does very bad things because she's only eleven and came down with a serious case of the stupid/teenage angst at one point.
Wintersmith: Tiffany is thirteen and is infected with a really serious case of teenage stupidity resulting in her getting between Winter and Summer. Everything almost dies because the Wintersmith wanted to marry her and bring about eternal winter. Also a very clever and polite metaphor for a girl hitting puberty.
I Shall Wear Midnight: Tiffany has to battle the Cunning Man who has been looking for her ever since she kissed the Wintersmith to death two years ago. Her life will probably be filled with cleaning up after herself because what she did in the last book attracted a lot of attention from all the wrong places. And she has functional hormones and official relationships too now.

Fables is about a bunch of refugees who happen to be fairytale characters from a hundred different worlds (the Homelands). Only you don't know if they inspired the fairytales or they're the fairytales brought to life.
The creator is a bit of a Conservative, but you can ignore his ranting most of the time and concentrate on the story. The Fable community is a big secret because they were hiding from the Adversary and the normal humans (Mundanes) Cindy is Fabletown's only off-the-books agent who masquerades as a bitchy shoe-seller but is actually a super-spy with 200 years of shady business under her belt. She's the one who gets sent out if something threatens Fabletown's security. She's James Bond and Jack Bauer with tits! Meaning that she can use sex in her line of work--damn you, double standards.
Prince Charming had three wives--they're all awesome ladies despite occasionally suffering from plot. Snow White was Deputy Mayor until she had kids. Sleeping Beauty is a secret weapon who sacrificed herself to put the Adversary's capital city to sleep. Cinderella serves her community by kicking ass all over the world and back in the Homelands. Maybe Charming felt bad about it in the end, because he finally stepped up and did something awesome during the battle with the Adversary's Empire.
But they're not safe yet and still nowhere near their goal of reclaiming the Homelands as of issue #100. And the story goes on . . .

One person Cindy/Tiffany most want in Camp?
Reply
But if it wasn't a matter of competency or missing time . . .
Cindy would like someone to update her on what's going on at home. Maybe Bigby since he was wandering around in the Mundy in search of a potential new home for the Fables. Also, she'd need him to back her up for the whole "it's not so much spilling secrets as Camp spilling them for you" thing because there are strict rules about that.
Tiffany would like to see how Granny Weatherwax deals with Camp, just out of curiosity. And she would be looking for a convenient haystack to duck behind when Granny goes ballistic.

Why were you attracted to playing Cindy?

Cindy is very fun to play because she can act nice and charming while being a complete hardass while on the job. She can also annoy people intensely--seriously, I need to play that out more.

How do your characters spend a typical day in Camp?

Cindy: Sleeps for three to six hours before getting up and sneaking around, may go for a morning ride around Camp before breakfast, deposit scraps for the stable mice she's been getting to know, look in on the pushcart, not-work while keeping an eye on things, talk to people she knows or doesn't know, eat lunch, not-work some more while on the laptop reading the news and catching up on fashion, evening jog around Camp before dinner, may visit the bar for a drink, write a few more emails to the Director/her suppliers/home even though it might not work, maybe sneak around some more . . . when she goes to bed is a mystery and staggered in no fixed pattern.
