Suddenly, outta nowhere, COSTUMING is back!!!!!
I am suddenly in a masquerade performance for WonderCon in April. Totally bobsmith4's fault! Currently online checking hotel availability and the like.....
And the outfit will be so geeky and YAY! but I can't divulge what it will be, can I?
And I want everybody to come visit me and see me in it. So maybe I should tell. Oh it's the coolest of the nerdiest of ideas....
Hitcher from Mighty Boosh (see pic) (and yes I know there are a million Hitchers out there) BUT SO MUCH BETTER BECAUSE THERE IS A TWIST! (oh and yeah I know there is no Boosh comic book, but it's a cross-media fandom, and was big at ComicCon so....close enough)
1. High white leather boots, check, got 'em already.
2. Black coat, got it already.
3. Top hat, on wishlist.
4. Red leggings, on wishlist.
5. Thin red scarf, will probably find at mall.
6. White hair, have to find this. No luck yet.
7. White polo mint eyepiece, have to craft this.
8. All over green body and face paint, have no idea what I'm doing here.
...and here's where the costume goes OFF KILTER -

9. Open up the coat, and you've got Vavoom Black Corset - (gothy style, no lace, brocade acceptable but better in a plainer fabric, PVC fine and is sufficiently cracky for this)
10. White stripe and polo mint detailing on corset (I will add, note this is on crack)
11. Black tutu (yes please continue noting the crackiness)
***Does anyone know the best place to buy a corset?
***Does anyone know how to paint yourself green safely (and "set" the paint so it lasts) a la Elphaba from Wicked?????
Oh, my, god!!!! COSTUMING has bitten me in the butt again. LOL. (kind of ironic how it has when I have no money.....ah well)
ETA: The whole family's going so I went ahead and booked a room at the Marriott - Saturday night - yay
