Grimas brand water makeup. Basically, it's tempera paint for your skin, and once it dries it only comes off with soap and water.(Water alone doesn't make it run.)

Oh! Good advice, specific advice, and so quick - thanks, you!
I assume this is "set with translucent powder" stuff also. Will be applying it to arms, shoulders, underarms, bosom, neck, face....so rubbing off is definitely Going to Happen, just a matter of keeping it to a minimum I suppose.
I think your cracky costume sounds awesome! And I'm so glad that people are so excited about this idea (and that you're willing to help out with the "art"!)
Great to hear that you're doing the costuming thing again! :-) Have you ever posted photos of your various costuming endeavors? I think maybe I've seen one or two ... how about a little gallery on deviant art or something?
There's an idea I hadn't thought of. And no, never even thought of posting photos of myself in costume all together. That would mean I'd need to find photos of:
Sir Robin (Spamalot version) Captain Ruby Kimber (Jem and the Holograms) Sam Sam (Orc Armor version) Hobbit (Weta/Ngila version) ETA: I forgot my Medieval getup! Another one.
Lessee, that's six, five put together by myself in some way with major/minor help. One by someone else, but just 'cuz, I should represent that costume. Did I forget anything? (thinks)

(Its a dry cake and you use a moistened applicator).
Once the water dries, it's stable. You can even paint more colors / details on top of the part that's dried.
