Sunday, we took the girls ice skating again on Evergreen Lake. They are getting quite comfortable on skates and are ready to try the single blade instead of the double. My cousin with cancer has died.

Offensive? I'm talking about my own cousins, unfortunately. My mother is a Cajun and many of "The Family" are the epitome of Poor White Trash. I have more cousins, 2nd cousins, cousins once-removed, etc than could fit on a plane. This weekend our power went out a couple of times for a few hours each time. The first was the middle of the day and I was very pleased at how easily we handled it. The girls barely noticed, after passing thoughts of watching a movie or playing a computer game, they were busy playing their normal pretend games that it was not a difficult time. Starts Monday, Dental Office Assistant, starts at $10, 40 hour weeks, benefits after 6 months, vacation after a year... awesome job for someone with no experience at working for the past 20 years.
