There are some GOOD people out there
So I scheduled the massage for my Dad today, as I mentioned. I called the one recommended by Dad's Charge Nurse yesterday, never met her before, and I pre-paid on my VISA for it on the phone. She was a little surprised by that, said I was very trusting, but I didn't want any impediment. $70 - fine, whatever, just make him feel good, ya know?
I got a call around 5 from her to let me know she was done and she felt she should come back on Saturday and that there would be
NO CHARGE for either visit!
WOW
She said she barely did 20 minutes because of all the equipment and IVs and stuff, and she didn't feel right charging for that. She DROVE to the hospital - twice! They went there are 1 and Dad was sleeping, so they left and came back at 4. I tried to talk her out of it - I was quite prepared to pay - but apparently she felt that she just wanted to help him.
I'm floored. And grateful.

Funny, she said that all the nurses told her what a dear man he is and that she found that for herself, he was just so grateful for the help. Made my eyes tear up.
I'll have to visit their shop - she said my first visit would be 1/2 off - go figure, $35 for a 70-minute massage???? Dang!
