my word count calculator in yWriter (which I use for my books and you should too! google it) - says I have 5800 words to go on the Opus, that's 1 day's work at present rate. Not sure that's quite true - the story arc may run on longer, but it's close to the mark. I have 1 evil client gig that will eat 5 hours of my time tomorrow. ARGH. So say this ( Read more... )

That's what's coming to me when I wake up these days:  complete books in miniature - complete settings and the core conflict. Not full-blown plots or (always) conclusions, but the basic elements of the story are in place, and usually the major character/s to key into.
