This morning I found that the grate over the sewer drain in the alley was gone, presumably stolen to be sold as scrap metal. So I drove very very carefully over the car-eating hole and called the alderman as soon as I got to work. So, after work I came home to a bright-orange rust-covered grate. The old one looked better. I've been away from the computer most of the weekend, catching up with family and working on getting my niece's room ready to paint. We're almost there. I'd comment more, but am very sleepy.
