Who: Cedric, Cho
Where: Ravenclaw Common Room
Warnings: Fluff
Notes: This was written before The Night Before and Honey and Spices but was supposed to take place AFTER them. Thus a few things might seem a little off. I went in and tried to fix it up the best I can. If things seem repetitive or something just take it as the two of them being nervous. It IS the start of their first date after all. =D This starts the Hogsmade adventure. Stay tuned for the thread for Hogmade! =D
Cho did, in fact, wake with the sun every day, and today was no different. She dressed quickly, in a casual Muggle outfit, and snuck down the stairs that lead to the Ravenclaw commonroom. No point in waking up the rest of her house. By the time she had finished organizing her things that she would need later that day, it was nearing six thirty, and she couldn't help but feel a little nervous.
Cedric made his way to the Ravenclaw wing tiredly once he saw his clock hit 6:20 AM. He walked over to the grand portrait that guarded his way and ge gently knocked on hit. Hopefully Cho would be inside the common room and have no trouble hearing his soft knocks. After all, the dear painting was still asleep and he didn't really want to wake it and have it make a fuss.
She heard the knock and grinned from both nervousness and excitement, though in a way she supposed the two feelings were one in the same. Cho opened the portal door and smiled, "Hey, Ced."
Cedric grinned a little and backed up as the portrait opened, "Hey, Cho. Are you comin in or am I coming out--I mean--Are you coming out or am I coming in?!" He asked nervously.
'Great,' he thought idly to himself, 'I've already skrewed it up.'
Cho chuckled into the palm of her hand and grinned up at Cedric, "I'm coming out... Most of the house is still asleep, and trust me when I say that Ravenclaws are scary people when you wake them up..." She stepped outside and quietly closed the portal. "So, uhm..."
"So," Cedric said with a small grin as he clasped his hands together and rubbed them a little. For some reason Cedric was always so cold when he was tired, so he naturally was trying to keep warm. "What is it you wanted to talk about?" He asked as he started to walk away from the portrait.
She bit her lip nervously and walked alongside him. The logical side of her told her that she didn't have to worry about saying anything, but the other side told her that there was still a chance she should keep her mouth shut for now. "Well.. er..." She took a breath. "...promise not to hate me?"
Uh oh. Cho didn't want to call of their date did she? Why would she want that? Weren't they dating? He thought this problem was well..Soved..If she did she could have made a journal post or something...
"I promse."
For a couple minutes longer she chewed on her lip, going over all the different ways she could think of to say it and what she would do if something went wrong. "See... I kinda... sorta... more than just a little..." Ooh, this was the hard part. "...likeyou." She mumbled the last bit out quickly.
Cedric blinked confusedly. That was all? Relief washed over Cedric and he let out a soft laugh.
"Well you didn't have to tell me that, Cho. I assumed you liked me a little more than a friend or else you wouldn't have agreed to go out on a date with me!"
Cho must have been extremely nervous considering they had determined they were dating only the night before. That was alright though, Cedric understood her nervousness.
She flushed a reddish color. "I--I still... really... want to go on the date." Damnit, that was the best thing she could think of? She was a Ravenclaw!
'She must just be nervous...' Cedric thought to himself as a soft smile made its way onto his face. "So do I, Cho." He breathed softly. He then held out his hand to Cho and waited for her to take it. "So lets go."
Cho stared at Cedric's extended hand for a moment, then smiled and placed her own hand in it. "Let's."
