So I'm feeling ok today, mood isn't exactly what you'd call 'up' but it's not down either. My mum took lex out to healsville sanctuary for her birthday so that was nice but I'm a little pissed off about the birthday gift mum brought for her. Mum asked me for ideas for lex and I said batman Lego, she really wants batman Lego. Mum says 'oh so nothing girly then?' so I said if you want girly then get her some cute clothes, or a my little pony thing. Anyway we told other people that batman Lego was taken so no one got it for her & lex was a little sad because she was so pumped about it. Today when mum came over she had the presents for lex & guess what? She fucking brought 'girl' Lego...yes! Lego has now released I range to appeal to girls with 'girl' coloured bricks & opposable girl figures. So mum brought this big box of girl coloured Lego as well as a little box with a kit in it to make a spa and a sun lounge....are you fucking kidding me?!?!?!? It's bad enough that Lego has brought out this shit but now my daughter has it. It's just playing into the whole thing that girls should have pink things and shouldn't like batman arrrgghhhhh it fills me with rage, don't push your bullshit beliefs onto my beautiful independent daughter. Fuck girl Lego, Lego is Lego. Although lex promptly picked up the girl figure that came with the set and gave her a little shield she also thought the spa was a car lol. So now I really want to get her the batman Lego but need a reason to, lol. I'll probs just get her to do some jobs around the house then give it to her. So annoying!!!
