I have a Nameday at the end of the month.
I've not actually had a party to celebrate anything since I was ten, and have always been admiring and jealous of such things as the Cancerian Parties of Doom that used to be held (although I'm aware that attending such a gathering and hosting one may well be very different)... So I'm considering - vaguely, depending - the idea of a party. However, some of the trouble is it seems that since my friends are more 30 than 20 these days large parties have gone out of vogue and some sort of dinner soiree or pub gathering is more the done thing. Hm.
Whether I do anything or not, I am none the less curious and wish to canvas general opinion...
