We had quite a nice weekend. On Saturday we went in to town to see the Chinese exhibition in the Herbert Art Gallery. I didn't know the place existed, it's gorgeous. Well, here I am back in work, albeit tentatively. Our house over the weekend was a plague house. I'm sat here having a 'nice' day off work. I say, 'nice'. I'm actually ill. I have this bloody cold that everyone seems to have at the moment and my head feels like someone has been stamping on it and then pumped it full of fluids. I just got back from a week in Norfolk with my family - which was nice. We saw some castles, rode on a steam train, saw lots of fish, penguins, seals and otters and visited a beach with a hundred mile per hour wind :) The kids were more interested in the gravel in the cottage's garden but at least they were happy ( Read more... )

Well I've had a reasonably relaxed week decorating - We've gotten the floorboards in the dining room waxed and the walls in the living room painted and wall-papered. We've ordered a sofa bed for the dining room and carpet and a fireplace for the living room. There are still a few little jobs to do but the back of it is well and truly broken ( Read more... )

I'm finally back from North Wales. Well, it's Dolgellau - which on a map looks more to me like West Wales - but technically it's North. I think it's just inside the southern boundary of Gwynedd.
