Alright, here's a big post with pictures from the last 3 or 4 weeks. We took advantage of Joe's being off work and had a lot of good family time.

Just got a call from my mom. Apparently after 6 or more months of living in a roach infested apartment on a friends sofa my brother has had enough and is ready to get out of his situation. This is the first time in WEEKS that I've made it into LJ.

School finished up well.  I guess am forever imprinted on my math teacher's brain, apparently giving birth part way through the semester, missing one day of class, and still pulling an A is a memorable achievement.  Got an A in my biology class too. I don't know what to think about all this.  First off, I'm not surprised, I wish that I could be but I'm not.  The first time the police brought him home he was 12.  I just keep hoping that he'll get it through his thick scull that this is not the way to go through life.  He's one of the smartest and most charasmatic people I know but he is a damn ( Read more... )

My brother is in jail. Again. He's moving up though, rather than an outstanding warrant for a no-show to traffic court it's on felony theft charges.  And my mom seriously doesn't understand why I don't want to have anything to do with him.

My brother and I rarely speak to each other.  In the last year we MAY have had 30 minutes of conversation. Maybe.  Beyond genetics and physical appearance we just have very little in common, he's not interested in children, reading, or steady employment, I'm not interested in skateboards, motorcycles, or marijuana.  *shrug*
