I'm sensing a new theme for how I put stuff in here...
Ok... Next Baby is closer to having a name. Actually, it's comeing along very quickly which is surprising really. We tried twice to get "Allen" for a kid's name but no go since we keep having girls. Joe's dad was named Allen, Allen's twin sister (still living) is named Annette. At the moment that's what we're leaning towards, so we'd have Alta, Lillian, and Annette. To follow with our plant theme Joe and I agree that Hazel is OK, not a favorite but until we find something better... Annette Hazel. We'll roll that one around for a few weeks and see if we stick with it. If you guys have any other plant names throw them at me, I'm open for suggestions.
This weekend was a lot of fun. It also re-enforced the fact that when the Schwab Boys start drinking I wind up staring at the celing elbowing a snoring husband. Lord only knows why it's taken me 6 years of being married to Joe to figure out a very simple solution to family get-togethers. Ear plugs, hello! Before Christmas I will be purchasing me some ear-plugs and getting some sleep for a change.
I've decided that I'm going to make Joe a corn-hole game for Christmas. He's been wanting one for quite some time now. I could buy one but they're stupid-expensive and I've got enough tools and wood-working know how to make this sort of thing. The alternative to a corn-hole game would be to buy him a Blue-Ray player, but he's got his eyes set on getting the PlayStation 3 which has a blue-ray player built into it. No need to have two of the things laying around.
I am about to head out to the grocery store to buy some things for the browinies I'm making for my friend who let Rascal out for us this weekend. Since I'm going to be baking I'm also going to experiment with a Chocolate Chip Ginger cookie recipe I ran across a few weeks ago. It's your basic chocolate chip cookie recipe but with a 1/2 teaspoon of powdered ginger and a 1/2 cup of chopped candied ginger mixed in. It sounds AWESOME!!! Can't wait to try them out.
