Poetry-Please Forgive Me
For everyone that I have hurt, but for one person in particular.

Forgive me, for I know not what I do
But isn't that a saying for the select few
Most people know and don't care
But I do, or will find out what I have done
That saying is an excuse
When I hurt someone as wonderful as you
I can not live with me
I hate how I treat you
So tell me to go away
But I am going to stay
Because I know you want me to
You are just saying you don't
To see who cares enough to come after you
Now I am caught in the middle
The place I made myself be
I don't hate you, but sometimes I hate me
So if I ever change and it makes you cry
Just leave me out to dry
And then I will not harm you anymore
I am a human, but I am so poor
Poor in mind, body and soul
Poor in my humanity
Poor in practically everything I do
But I always have loved you
And I try to show you
And heal your wounds
The ones I caused you are in me too
Because I forced an arrow through my heart
When my words hurt you
And it left a permanent mark
So that I would remember not to hurt you again
So please forgive me
For letting my anger control my words
Please forgive me for makng you feel left out
Please forgive me for making a mess of things
Please forgive me, for not choosing a side
And caring for you both
Because I can't abandon anyone
Forgive me because I am not ALL of what you need
Forgive me because I am me
Forgive me, because I can't forgive myself
At least not right now
Please understand, if I had a chance to do it over
I wouldn't do it again
Can only stand here and hold you
And make your future a better place
Please don't let me leave
I can't stand life without you
You're my friend, and I don't wanna hurt you ever again
Please see that I am true
Correct me when I am wrong
Hurt me back, lash out, I will forgive you for anything
So please don't close me out
Even though it may be better if I wasn't there to harm you
Please always hold onto me
Please, because I need you and want you to stay
