Title: A Lil' Bit of Fur, A Lil' Bit of Mrrrr

Summary: When Junmyeon brings home a ginger tabby cat and names him ChenChen, he hardly expects him to turn into a human.
When Junmyeon brings home a ginger tabby cat and names him ChenChen (because he’s orange and he his cute meows are so sweet - and no it isn’t because Junmyeon is already doting on him because of the way he’d curled himself around Junmyeon’s feet and purred so happily at the pet shop when the girl in the pet shop had let him out to play, and it certainly isn’t because of how Baekhyun had teased him so much about his love for mandarin oranges), he definitely doesn’t expect that his cat will turn into a - almost - human being with ginger tabby ears and a long tail who pounces him the minute he opens the door to his apartment and is happily licking his face amidst enthusiastic “Master, I missed you!”, “Master, what’s for dinner?”, “Master, you’re home! Can we play now?”
Junmyeon is so astonished with a lap full of human kitty that he very belatedly notices that his cat-turned-human-thingymajig is also very naked when he puts his hands around ChenChen’s hips to steady him and he touches very warm, very human skin.
“Wait, what, how?” He manages to sputter out as he sits up as much as he can with a naked catman(???) in his lap, nudging his head under his chin and asking for pets. It’s completely mindboggling how his cat is suddenly humanoid and is speaking in perfectly understandable Korean to boot.
(The even weirder thing is that he doesn’t even question why a complete stranger tackling him could be his cat, and Junmyeon knows he must be kind of screwed at this point if he knows his cat this well.)
“Now master can understand ChenChen properly and ChenChen can hug master properly!” His former cat snuggles up against him happily, unabashed about his state of undress.
“Okay, just wait, just back up one second,” Junmyeon forcefully pushes ChenChen away firmly, and he’s almost undone by that downturned pout of those bow-shaped lips and oh no if Junmyeon thought he had been such a complete pushover when ChenChen had made pitiful kitty eyes at him, it had nothing on the way he wanted to just coo and pet him on the head with those kitty ears flattened against his head and the sad curve of his mouth.
“Is master angry with ChenChen? ChenChen has been a good cat the whole day and hasn’t scratched the kitchen cabinet...much.” His cat is holding his tail in his hands now, and just like that, Junmyeon can juxtapose him with the feline form he’s so used to seeing when he scolds his cat for new scratches on different pieces of furniture and his cat looks at at him from the floor and meows obediently, tail flat on the floor and ears flattened guiltily as if he understands every word Junmyeon says and why exactly Junmyeon is angry.
“Angry? No, no, I’m not angry at you,” Junmyeon reaches out hesitantly, wanting to reassure ChenChen, and his cat moves minutely forward, head butting against Junmyeon’s palm and he scratches ChenChen in between his ears comfortingly, wondering if it’ll have the same calming effect as usually does. It does, and ChenChen’s ears are just as soft as ever, and he’s rubbing his cheek into Junmyeon’s hand, his own coming up to hold Junmyeon’s as if he’s afraid that his master will pull away.
“I’m just confused as to why you’re actually human now, instead of you know, a cat?” Junmyeon pets his hair as ChenChen inches forward more, and before he knows it he’s got a cat human purring happily draped across his lap and he’s actually petting in between his shoulder blades and his back. He almost pets as far as ChenChen’s naked butt until he remembers that he’s essentially petting a naked human right now instead of a four legged ginger tabby cat who actually fits draped over one leg instead of being draped across both his thighs, and stretching out onto the carpet.
(He does not think that his cat has such a nice butt either - even though it is, such a nice round butt that looks so squeezable - because that is his CAT! and not you know, maybe a potential bed partner.
Junmyeon vows to wash the thoughts from his head with bleach.)
“ChenChen doesn’t know either,” His cat mumbles sleepily, even as he reaches for Junmyeon’s hand and moves it back up to his head, a wordless demand for Junmyeon to scratch in between his ears and he does exactly that, alternating between threading his fingers through ChenChen’s soft strands, scratching at his scalp and petting the furry triangles of his ears.
“But ChenChen is glad that he can talk to master now and have proper human conversations mrrrrrrr---” His cat purrs and falls asleep in his lap, and now Junmyeon is perplexed as to how exactly he’s going to get up off the floor without waking up the sleeping cat human in his lap so he can actually get changed.
Junmyeon sighs and pats the back of ChenChen’s neck, eliciting more rumbly sleepy purrs but abruptly stops when his cat nuzzles his nose against his crotch, sighing in relief when ChenChen settles again.
He’s not sure how long ChenChen is going to remain a human, but he vows to teach his cat about wearing clothes, and how humans absolutely do not nuzzle their noses into someone else’s crotch.
(He’s definitely not educating his cat about sex education.)

I'm still very much writing very slowly SuChen fics and SuKaiDO but aldksgkj I wish I had more time to spare for writing nowadays so everything is just going to go up slooooooooooooooooooowly now T_T
In any case, Happy Cat Day!!! I just had to write kitty!Jongdae bc let's face it, Happy Cat Day is also kitty!Jongdae day /gets bricked/ and who better to have than master!Junmyeon so that it's SuChen ^___________________^ This was actually supposed to be less than 500 words gdi, but you can see the result of what happened lololol but I'm not sure if I'm actually going to go and continue this into another 'verse or not huhuh n_n it depends on how much time I have to write I guess but I will definitely try to!!!
In other things, I have yet to upload I'm gonna love you for a long time that I wrote for SNCJ Bigbang mostly because I am thinking of adding some more stuff to it, and also fleshing out the professor!Suho/unistudent!Chen 'verse that was part of it (crud, how long is it going to be?!) so for the time being you'll have to read it at SNCJ BB until I'm done hoho.
inked: under my skin (AKA SuChen EXO: Origins SuChen au) is still being worked on by both Chrys and I but we are seriously both dogged by work, but we will! finish it!!!!!! Need to find some time to put up the next chapter though ohoho.
