At least put in the effort...

I got one of those telemarketer calls that says they have "an urgent message about your credit card account" and you should talk to them right away by pressing 9. Now, I know that this is a scam, and I know I really shouldn't press 9 to talk to these people, because that might count as "entering a business relationship," which means they're allowed to call me back forever. But I get these calls all the time, usually the exact same one, and depending on how bored I am at work, I'll press 9 and demand to speak to a manager, or ask if they know they're violating the law, or ask what happened to the opt-out message that the recording is supposed to have (which didn't do anything even when they had it). I know none of this will work. I know that they're going to hang up on me as soon as I indicate that I know they're a scam. I've never yet gotten to speak to a manager, but when they called today, I thought I'd try again to see how far I could get. So I pressed the button, and was immediately disconnected.

Oh, come on, now! They're not even going to try to play the game? Do they have my number on a list of known troublemakers, and they automatically disconnect me if I try to talk to a human? Yes, I realize it was probably coincidence, but I'm half amused, half irritated at the idea that they never had any intention of talking to me, but the computer program continues to call me anyway, just to annoy me.
