One Last Visit
Today was not a good day. i don't know if i'm going to have a "good" day for awhile, but i'll take it as it comes. After finding out about Daddy Ed's passing on Saturday afternoon, kiwi59 took me out to get me out of the house. We went by Sonic since i wanted a milkshake and he got some tater-tots. As i was eating one..."CRUNCH!!!" The temporary cover that they put on my tooth Friday fell out and disintegrated. Of course, there was no "emergency service" at my dentists, so i had to stick it out until this morning which meant that i missed my normal flight and got up here to Chicago late. Actually, i wasn't much in the mood to do much work and didn't when i DID get up here. My tooth, however, is sealed up like a big wad of chewing gum is covering it. *sigh*
i would like to thank ALL of you who replied to Saturday's post and have sent your warm thoughts and condolences. i hope to reply, but may be delayed.
i have managed to rearrange everything to go to SF this weekend for Daddy's funeral this Thursday evening, 15 DEC 2005, with viewing scheduled to begin @ 5pm followed by a service. One night only. i have spoken with boyjoe who, fortunately, has some close friends who have flown out to be with him, and he has told me that it sounds like there is going to be a BIG turn out. Maybe that will show that bitch of an ex-wife of His just how wonderful a man she tried to screw over. but inspite of it all, Ed was always upbeat! i would like to ask everyone who might read this out in SF to come out and pass the word through the Bear and Leather community. He was so active and giving that i know He was well-known and well-loved, but i would just like to get the word out so that everyone will be able to make this one chance to bid Him farewell.
