I smiled as you held me closer to you while we laid on the beach. The fireworks went off above us, signaling the end of summer. You watched them with a big, bright smile on your face, and a thought came to mind. I quickly sat up earning a worried look from you.
I grinned at you and got up. "You realized what beach we're at, right?" You looked at me confused, then look towards the ocean. "You don't remember...do you?" You slowly shook your head as tears fall down your cheeks. "Shh love, it's okay." I knelt down and gently cupped your cheeks, wiping away the tears.
"This is where we first kissed, and over there..." I pointed to a tree not to far from us, "that's where we carved our names and not to far from it in the sand, we wrote our names there a few summers ago." You smiled sadly at me as I talked on and on about how we first met, and how I fell in love with you for the first time.
"I'm sorry that I can't remember anything after my accident Subaru." You said as you stood up and let your yukata fall while you brushed off the sand that stuck to it.
"It's okay Kuina, really." I gave you a reassuring smile and hugged you. The last of the fireworks burst in the sky like a million fireflies as we kissed officially ending summer. You broke the kiss and smiled your cheesy smile you always do and started to walk down the beach, letting the water hit you.
"I wish we could go back to our summer paradise, before the accident, before you forgot about your life and me..." I whispered as I followed behind you slowly. "Oh how I wish..."
