The look of the jewelry in the store window made me cringe. Gold, real gold, fake gold, fake jewels. Everything had a light yellow tinge to it and it reminded me of sickness. I made my way to the recording studio tiredly. "I should of took Negi senpai up on the offer, I feel stupid now."
I sighed as I entered the studio and looked around. Tomoya was on top if Kuina kissing him while Subaru and Koudai were no where to be seen, "More than likely they were fucking each other or our senpais." I thought as I unintentionally slammed the door to the studio shut. I saw Kuina and Tomoya jump out of the corner of my eyes.
"M-Moru...I...we...i-it's not what it s-seems!" Kuina stammered. I just rolled my eyes and spotted a familiar silver guitar in the corner of the room. I walked over to it smiling as I ran my fingers over the string-less neck. "He must be out buying new strings..." I mumbled while tracing the black dragon at the base of the neck.
There was a loud bang as the door leading to the other parts of the building slammed opened revealing a flushed and crying faced Subaru in the doorway. "Baru what's wrong?" Kuina and Tomoya quickly rushed over to him as I stood dumbstruck near the guitar. All I could make out was Negi and wreck before my knees gave out.
I stared at my band mates blankly as the break down crying in front of me. According to what Subaru was told, Negi died on inpact as a semi hit his vehicle head on while he was making his way back to the studio. A few weeks later I attended his funeral along with mine and his band mates and colleagues. Everyone but me was crying their eyes out these past few weeks, all I could do was stare at his guitar and the ring he was going to give me the day he passed away.
It's been a year since his death and I passed by the same jewelry store that had all the gold colored jewelry displayed and noticed how it was all silver now. Oh how I hate the color silver now, because it reminded me of him and all that we had.
