Old News because I'm lame, but my Comic-Con Friday

And it was even /better/ than the first day, omg.

We got there around six that morning. We wanted to see the Firefly reunion panel. Thankfully, even though we were pretty far back in line, we still managed to get there early enough that we were able to get into the Ballroom when they finally started letting everyone in. :D It was amazing. Completely amazing. The fans all stood up to applaud Joss and the cast and everyone.

After that, bestie wanted to go and try and get Steve Blum's autograph on her Cowboy Bebop DVDs. It was a bit of a hassle to figure out where we needed to go, but we found it and there was barely even a wait/line. She was so excited.

Then. THEN. We were walking down a ways to look for a booth her bf liked. We walked by this graphic novel booth and I happen to turn and look and who do I see standing there?

Chad Michael Murray.

I spazzed a little. Went, "That... That.... That.... Is Chad Michael Murray!" only more quiet and squeaky and addressed to bestie. She tried to get me to go up to him and say hi, but I was way too scared and embarrassed and shy. So we walked away, found one of the booths her bf liked, but they didn't have what he wanted. I kept thinking about how upset I was at myself for being too scared to go up to him for anything. Then bestie's bf texted her to say he was hungry (he went to different panels all day, and we forgot to give him his share of his lunch before we separated). So we needed to go back the other direction and I asked bestie if we could look for that graphic novel booth again. Figured he probably wouldn't be there anymore because it had taken us forever to find the other booth. Was like a wild goose chase.

But he was still there. I found where the line started. Bestie asked if it was the line for Chad and they said yes. They asked if I'd gotten the book yet. When I said 'no', they got a hesitant look on their faces, but bestie told them I wanted to buy it (which I was about to say, so I don't feel too bad about her doing it for me). Got the book, wrote down my name on a slip of paper so that he'd know who to sign it to. My hand was shaking so bad, I'm surprised I was able to write legibly.

He was so nice, oh my gosh. Shook my hand and said it was nice to meet me. Asked me what I do. I told him that I babysit my niece (bestie told him I write fanfiction and I about /died/ because you don't tell them that, but he told me that was really cool and that I'd be up where he is someday and they'd be reading my book, so that was /amazing/). Then he let me take a picture with him (it's actually a good picture, which I thought was impossible because I hate any pictures taken of me). And he looked down, saw my Supernatural shirt, pointed at it and said "Jared's getting here tonight." I'm like, "What?". "His plane's coming in tonight, I'm gonna take him out for a cocktail."

OMFG, my life has nearly been made. All I need now is to somehow meet Jared Padalecki. I can't even.

Oh, and for those of you who wondered. Yes. He does smell like cake.

;)
