Sweetie's back at work now.
While she was convalescing at home, her headaches went away and all back pain ceased. It was absolutely amazing.
A few days before she had to go back to work, she got a headache that didn't go away for several days. I don't know if it's gone now, or if she still has it. I know her back pain has returned, although not as bad as it was before she was in the hospital. Of course, her period started the day she returned to work. I don't think this is a coincidence.
Sweetie commutes an hour in the morning, and then an hour and a half in the evening. Her manager goes back and forth between being a nice, reasonable, sympathetic sort of person, and a completely unreasonable, petty, incompetent asshat. When he's at the bad end of his scale, he's fought the most rational and commonsense of approaches, requiring union intervention that basically forces him to do things those reasonable and rational things. He never learns from the past, seemingly.
Sweetie told her Mother she had to continue to work for another ten years, minimum. This is so we can pay off debts and save up the money so we won't live in poverty once she stops working. I'm really hoping I can manage to work soon, just to make the time after her retirement easier for both of us.
I really hope she makes it to retirement. It worries me that her commute and work environment have this effect on her.
