(no subject)
It's finally Halloween. My favorite holiday of the year, and yet.. I find that I do not enjoy it as much. In fact, I don't enjoy any holiday that much anymore. Halloween just happens to be one I now enjoy because it's the best time to shop for cool decor. I had kinda-sorta plans to go out... but my agoraphobia is kicking in and the thought of doing so has become rather distasteful. I'm thinking I will just take the suspension team their pics for the month and then come back home.
My bedroom is coming along alright. I started painting it 2 years ago before it became my bedroom. I ran out of paint, got a job and then had no time/energy to do much of anything. But it's coming a long now.. and as it comes along, I will minimize my collection of "things". It's red.. my room.. when I first moved in, my plans were to paint it red/black - walls alternating colors. Black tile floor, ceiling, and closet/shrine area. But i have since changed my mind because, honestly I don't want to pull up carpet or lay down tile. Nor do I really want to take my shrine apart to paint the closet. So, instead, my closet/shrine is left off-white with black spiderweb curtains that found last year and they are tied back with wind chimes. I will put up led lights around the inside when I am closer to finishing the rest of the room. At first I thought the white would look bad but the way the light reflects in the room, it makes the closet look as though it is a shade of red anyway.. so yay.
