6 days and counting...

I take the CISSP exam on Friday the 29th. So far, I'd say my mood is cautiously optimistic. I don't have the material down cold, but I'm doing decently on the sample questions and prep exams. (Hopefully well enough to earn the 700 points I need to pass!)

When this is over I'm going to treat myself somehow. Haven't decided how or with what yet. Pass or fail I've worked very hard and I think I deserve a little something. ;-) I'd prefer to pass of course, but... *sigh*

On a slightly less heavy note, I got to wear my scarf for the first time this past Thursday. The weather's starting to cool off enough for the fall-wear to start coming out. I think I should get points for waiting. I was so excited when I finished I wanted to wear it THE NEXT DAY. ;-)

Speaking of knitting, I'm working on another scarf. This one is for my daughter, made with the yarn I bought back on 8/31. It's not nearly as fancy (or as difficult) as mine was. It's knitted in a garter stitch which is just knitting, no purling. (I think that's some kind of cosmic joke because my first project was all purling, no knitting). :-D

Anyway, it's black, red, and white stripes. I'll probably put black tassels on the ends once I'm done.

Lastly, I went out with my daughter to purchase that which was required for a Halloween costume, and came home with a large stuffed cow. Don't ask, I can't explain. Thrift stores are strange and mysterious places. And yeah, we did get most of the costume pieces. ;-)

Cheers,

Wish
