So I had an awesome day, sewing wise. I got the extra contrast fabric on the purple dress (McCall's 4769 ). That makes the purple dress done-done. It is ironed and hanging in my closet. Woo! I also got the hems in the walkaway dress, and I am 15 minutes away from being done with that, AND I ripped all the backing off a queen-sized quilt ( Read more... )

The night before last, I had my mom stop by and pin up my hems for me. Pinning up one's own hems is an impossibility. NB: Pinning up a circle skirt hem is sort of hell.
