Labor Day Picnic
Today we enjoyed the gorgeous weather by having a picnic at a nearby park.
We used fresh local tomatoes, fragrant basil and the creamiest fresh mozzarella from a local Virginia farm to make a delicious caprese salad accompanied by toasted ciabatta bread, marinated broad beans and a mix of black olives. A perfect summer luncheon (ignoring the fact that summer is nearly over, of course...).
