The response to Obama's election in London has been really heart warming. I work in Brixton and when I got off the train yesterday there was an older black lady with her jacket open proudly displaying an Obama t-shirt. Ok, we've decided on our post-Thanksgiving destination now and it's the Carolinas. The Monday after Thanksgiving we will get on a train from Chicago through the mountains of West Virginia to North Carolina. We fly back to London from Raleigh-Durham on the 10th of December.
