Halloween was good. I got my hair done, then went home to finish cleaning the house before my dad and brother arrived (in Dan's hot new car). Mom arrived a bit later. Then we got Cat up from her nap and dressed in her princess costume (pix later - I forgot to bring my memory card in today). Daddy took the little princess out - the original plan was just to take her to a few, select neighbors, but she took to it like a duck to water, so they went all around the neighborhood. Initially, I guess, she was a little shy, but, after a little while, she had her hands in the bowls of candy, grabbing whatever she could get. Even thought she didn't know what she was grabbing.

We took anything chewy or potentially choke-worthy, and gave her a couple pieces of what was left. She loved it, of course - till now, her only real candy experiences have been her Flintstones gummy vitamins.

Yesterday, I started this month's fertility odyssey. I now have FOUR different shots to give myself. Whee! Came home, watched the end of the NASCAR race (scary crash with Ryan Newman, whom I like very much, stupid ending to the race, and really kind of a boring race overall, which is unusual for Talladega), and then watched the V marathon the SciFi channel was running (I REFUSE to call it "SyFy") till Cat took her nap, at which time I went grocery shopping. $200 later (Yikes!) I had enough food for a week of the South Beach Diet. Which starts today. So I was up late, after Mad Men was over, making breakfast and lunch for today. Even though I'm cooking for him, too, Joe went to bed. I enjoyed the last wine I'll have for a while, though.
