Funny thing Catherine said this evening. I was in the kitchen, loading the dishwasher. She was going potty and came out and said, "I need help, Mommy." And I asked what she needed help with. "There's a really big poo-poo and I just can't handle it." She wanted help wiping. But the way she said it was just funny as anything.

Catherine had her first full day of school yesterday (last week was all half days). When she got into the car and retrieved her bunny, her comment was, "I didn't like nap time. I missed my bunny." By the end of the night (and into this morning), she cried when she thought about it ( Read more... )

So, according to the Welcome note Catherine's teacher sent home with her today, she had a terrific first week of school. She likes it, so far. But next week starts full days (today was just half), and she doesn't quite know what she thinks of that.

It was a busy one. Catherine's dance recital was Saturday, and it included a morning dress rehearsal, and me as a stage mom. So it was a very busy day. We had Catherine's birthday party yesterday. Four. Can you believe it? Actually, her birthday is NEXT Sunday, but, since we'll be at Disney World, we had the party yesterday.
