I was working on my Fanlore paper, and I made a definitions section because 1) it is meant for a general audience, and 2) it takes up room! So naturally I had fun with that most hallowed tome, the Oxford English Dictionary and especially the usage history (which is probably my favourite part).

Back in Maryland. (AND I remembered to go to the new place and laughed scornfully at the Metro stop for the old place because I don't live there anymore, ha!)

~2 hours of sleep last night + ~12 hours in transit (and no, I do not sleep well on planes) = zombie!Laura

it feels so good to breathe again... *sighs blissfully* and i actually have the energy to appreciate the coming of the spring around me, like noticing that the sakura are blooming and the daffodils and more crocuses and other little flowers. yay!

my neighbor had another screaming fit with her mom on the phone this morning. and now she's at it again. we're talking full-on screaming here, with lots and lots of swearing. i'm so so so glad that i have such awesome parents.

i have nothing to report because pretty much all i've been doing is thesising and homeworking. blah.
