SGA: City lockdown and boys in the woods
Double the episode ramblings this week since I missed last week's while I was in NY. (I, of course, watched the episode as soon as I got back, but it was on YouTube and not of very good quality so I watched the re-air tonight so I could see it in all its HD glory. :)
Stargate Atlantis (4x13 "Quarantine") ~ Oh, such a great episode. I liked all the interesting character pairings. And Ronon spoke more than four words at once, and he was so adorably uncomfortable talking about his past. And Batman!John, oh Batman!John who knows Rodney's passcode (and the meanings of the not-so-random numbers and 42!) and breaks out windows to save the day (and escape meaningful conversations about feelings :P). I was looking forward to John's city-scaling all week, it was so dorkily wonderful with all those "oh noes I'm slipping" faces, hee. ♥ Oh, and apparently Sam and Radek are weaklings because they couldn't open the transporter doors but Lorne and Sheppard could, hee. I loved how it was a city-wide team effort to fix the problem, with Radek slithering through the airvents (and muttering in Czech) for the win. And Chuck! Chuck was there lots! \o/ And I'm so pleased with how the proposal played out, it was very believable (much more so than the actual KatiexRodney relationship). They just don't work together as a team. I mean, if John had been there with Rodney, he would have known exactly what to do to focus Rodney's energy on getting out rather than wallowing in despair (as evidenced by the fact that he knows Rodney is freaking out in the botany lab; and that is so totally why he threw himself out the window, to get Rodney out quicker). Oh, the McShep, it cannot be squashed. :D
Stargate Atlantis (4x14 "Harmony") ~ Rodney said "John" THREE times! They so totally hooked up after "Quarantine". :D *cough* Anyway. Boys in the woods with a royal brat = WIN. \o/ The interactions between the boys and Harmony was priceless. I laughed so much during this episode. :D Like, tears running down my face laughter. I do love a good laugh. Thank you, show. ♥ So, yeah, mostly running through the woods, hiding from the Genii and snarking with the young (and smitten) queen. Joe and David and Jodelle were fantastic. (And the behind-the-scenes video of them just further proves how awesome they all are.) And of course they get the girl to the ruins so she can be queen and John gets to fire off some pretty drones in formation like he does best. :) (Although, they didn't settle the Genii issue. Were they there with Laden's approval? Hmm...) And that portrait at the end? AHAHAHA. It makes me so happy, though, that someone told Rodney he's a hero. Because he totally is. ♥
Hmm, it's interesting how the preview for next week mentions nothing at all about Sheppard's father dying. Really, who decides what to put in the previews? Oh well. *shrug* It's yet another episode I can't wait for. Which is actually every episode. Because this show has taken over my life. ♥
