Arizona is closing over 2/3 of its State Parks in the next 5 months.

This is upsetting in a way I can't really describe. I'm worried that the parks will never re-open. What else is there to see in Arizona aside from the natural beauty? What else will bring visitors except for the Grand Canyon? There will barely be much to do in Sedona, even. How does cutting out the funds we get from donations and tourism to these parks help, Governor Brewer?

"As the meeting concluded, members of the parks staff received word that Gov. Jan Brewer's budget proposal released Friday would make further reductions to the parks budget, which could make Arizona the first state in the nation to close its entire parks system."

Anger beyond words. We're already planning to hit several, if not all, of the closing parks, including Red Rock, Yuma Territorial Prison, Tombstone Courthouse, and Picacho Peak.
