Everyone knows that bacteria likes air plus water combination. That is why it is hard to find a better environment for the bacteria than a wet toothbrush. I suggest a simple modification to a regular motorized toothbrush. As a result the toothbrush base serves not only as a charger but also as a dryer dramatically reducing the amount of bacteria that live in the brush' bristles.
The charger is equipped with a circutery that senses when a toothbrush is placed on the base and stared charging. This event triggers the timer that turns on the fan and the heater and keeps hot air flow for predefined period of time. The base may also serve as a container for the spare removable brush tips. In this case the same hot air flow keeps those brushes dry too. Optionally an ionizer can be installed in the air flow that may farther improve the bactericide effect of the dryer.
