Just say you went to Mexico for spring break and hit your head and caught amnesia and didn't know spanish or who you were and lived as a hobo for a few months because no one wanted to help you because you were clearly homeless and an illegal immigrant but then one day it all came back to you and remembered your wallet was in your back pocket and bought tickets back to japan! It's perfect, no one will question it!
