Apparently, Motaku is small enough that they allow steampunk to enter their cosplay contest.

OK... so...

If I can't fix my Ness cosplay in time, I'll bring my steampunk outfit with me (with new modded gun) so I can participate in the cosplay contest.

It's been so long since I've competed in one, it'll be a nice change of pace. :)

Since it looks like I'll be able to go, here's my list of potential costumes I'll be wearing:

Imari (Bible Black)
Ameriko (Hetalia)
Ness (Super Smash Bros)

So, I've been thinking I should throw one more anime con into my schedule this year... I still feel the need to compete in a cosplay or AMV contest, and I just didn't have enough time for Naka-Kon to do that. The rest of the cons I plan to go to are all sci-fi, but I'd like to see a different anime con other than NebrasKon or Naka ( Read more... )

Are there any costumes that I could pull off fairly easily? These have already been recommended:

- Codex (The Guild)
- Kaylee (Firefly/Serenity)
- Flandre Scarlet or anyone else from Touhou

But I'm looking for more, preferably anime or video game related. I'll even accept comic book characters. I just need ideas. Thanks.

So for the past couple of weeks, my dad has been getting sudden, severe pains in his side. They'd flare up, then disappear within minutes. Yesterday, he had one of these pains, but it didn't go away. Mom took him to the ER, where they did a CAT scan. He was diagnosed with a hernia ( Read more... )

This might be one of the least stressful pre-con weeks I've had. :D
