Well, tonight was the first time I've been out of the house on my own without A&Co other than my Janice time in what feels like years. It feels weird, not knowing what to do with myself. Where to go, how to have fun, where is a safe space to stay. I don't feel comfortable enough to go over to someone's house and be social. I didn't feel comfortable driving very far with the Pontiac's front headlight out. So I ended up at 2 different Starbucks, with a stop over at Taco Bell. This is sad, I need to be a bit more creative, and charge my laptop batteries before leaving.
Today I went to another training class in South San Francisco. The presenter really knew her stuff, but had so much to cover, that she talked so fast it was a struggle just to get it all down on paper. I'm fearing going back and trying to read my notes, half written words, many misspellings, incomplete thoughts. All this while trying to pay attention to what she was demonstrating on the screen. I was going to bring a 2g SanDisk voice recorder and test it out, but it stayed on top of the G5, for all the good it did me. A&Co said that maybe it's to be used for another purpose than recording work stuff. I think I'll try to use it at Janice's on Friday. Maybe that will make it easier to hear the switches and remember what we talked about past the time we drive home.
We went to Half Moon Bay after the training session. I only stayed for the morning session, as the 2nd half was on a product I don't own, and my painting skill level didn'twarrant learning, so I slipped out at lunch, meeting A&Co at IHOP for a bite to eat. I didn't want to just drive back home and knew someone inside wasn't quite happy. I've been trying to reverse-engineer the need/expectation/disappointment cycle before things happen to go wrong, leaving us unhappy and with that feeling of being cheated. It was especially important not to feel that today, with Yo coming over to do the healing work with Banshee. I had little ones who wanted to go to the ocean to take pictures. We went along 92 to Highway 1 along the coast. We ducked in at one beach, but it didn't feel quite right, so after peeing and rolling relaxation, we got back on the road until we came across the perfect place. After parking the car we got all our stuff and started walking down the beach. One of the things that attracted me to this particular beach was all the driftwood that was piled up, mounds of it, deposited, interesting and waiting for me. We came across the coolest tipi made of driftwood. It was the perfect size for 2, with enough headroom if we were sitting. A&Co crawled inside first and I got ready to pull out our cameras, wanting to take pictures of her inside the tipi. When I look at the pics, there's no doubt, the kids really come through, distinct from Audra, digitally captured. The cameras see it in the expressions in her face. I loved seeing Rosebud's joy at seeing/experiencing the ocean for the first time. How she wanted to climb up the cliff path, knew she could and didn't think twice before marching to the path and climbing sure-footed to the top. I got her on film, it gives me such joy. Makes me smile big, heart warm.
I'm really loving our new cameras. Both do the movie thing, but the Canon has a great zoom. When we were both in the tipi, I tried to record a movie of us two. A&Co makes me laugh so hard, it was fun recording together and we plan to do it again soon. I'm also finding I've got an eye for photography. I plan to post them soon. Just the raw pics are beautiful. If I learn some of the techniques to enhance the beauty, it should be spectacular.
