Been looking for work for the past while now, and its not going too well. Maybe things will pick up soon, job offers seem to come in waves. Nothing for ages and then a couple at once. I hope its not always going to be like this, that work will be more stable after get some more experience under my belt.
Been thinking of doing a postgrad next year. Maybe something in web design or multimedia. But there are lots of good application development courses out there too, and I'm not too good at art, so maybe thats the way to go. Hmmm. Things were meant to be easier after college right?
Hell who am I to complain! I just got baack from Bordeaux! Great place, really quite in a way. Its like a French version of Dublin or maybe Galway. Yeah Galway....as its just easy going, not like Dublin where people are always running about the place. Really grand would be how I'd describe tho city, not as breadth-taking as Paris, or as old as Rome, but far more charming. People say hello, and are cheerful and helpful. Everyone just seemed to have time to be nice to one another. There was one guy in the tourist shop who got all flustered about getting the right stlye top for Jennifer, after he'd given her the wrong one. He knocked on the window to get out attention, and the security alarm went off about 5 times, though he was more embarrassed than we were.
I didn't know it, but the region belonged to England for about 300 years. Richard and Lionhearts mother married a prince who went on to take the throne, and the region grew rich on wine exports to England. Ah, and yes the wine is good...and very reasonable. Between 1.60 and 5 euro a bottle. So how come its about 8 or nine euro when it gets to Ireland?
Hmm, anyone palying www.urbandead.com?
Oh yes, and lately I've been having dreams about badgers in taxis. Which would be interesting....I mean some guy jumps out of the taxis without paying, and gets chased down the street by a badger!
Anyone remember the Pepsi ad with the monkey taxis driver?
