Been looking for work for the past while now, and its not going too well. Maybe things will pick up soon, job offers seem to come in waves. Nothing for ages and then a couple at once. I hope its not always going to be like this, that work will be more stable after get some more experience under my belt ( Read more... )

I can't believe the fist city you compared it to was Dublin

Dublin is smelly
Bordeaux is not

In Dublin seeing someone shoot up with heroin is a common occurence
In Bordeaux someone would call the police and the police would actually do something.

Wouldn't mind doing a masters, though I'm not sure if I'd go back to UCD. I'd be much more open about where I did it. I'd be looking more at content and how well the course would prepare me for working in the industry.

Cowering in a corner eh? You're probably a zombie by now. I'm not sure if inactive characters are deleted. I'm trying to get people I know to form a group. At the moment there's a huge battle involving thousands of people going on. A large organised horde of zombies (including me) is trying to break in and control Caiger Mall. Its really interesting to be involved in something with that many people participating. Post me back and we can arrange to meet up in the game. The mall battle will have your character elite in no time flat.

Yeah do a PHD or something dude, preferably in UCD. Im gonna try to get a masters in graphics here or something like that. We could be in the same year! I dont mean that in a gay way or anything..... or maybe I DO ;)

Gom, you can mean that anyway as far as i'm concerned.....Raaarrrr!

Graphics, really interesting! That guy you had in third year seemed to be really into it. I'll be looking for something more multimedia I think, XML and HTML and servers and databases and things. Definately servers and databases, both applications and web developments need those. Leaves more options open I think. Pity we didnt do more of that in college, and I took all the database stuff. All theory and no coding, which I dont know, but that doesnt really work in comp sci unless you're planning on doing research or something. Thats just my opinion though.
